At the risk of being legalistic, I wonder how Christian women can appear before an audience of thousands and sing How Great Thou Art with their skirt half way up to their rear end and the blouse open to reveal their chests. I stopped doing weddings years ago because the brides insisted on getting married in gowns that showed off their physical assets (?). .

So many get caught up in the costume and "what it represents".... forgetting the message, the reception of the message and the acknowledgement of THE ONLY giver of true greatness; Our Father in Heaven. There is a spirit in that young woman that calls her to the Father, and a love for His Son that removes her inhibition to sing of His greatness in the face of so many that would deny His name. The three great songs sung so beautifully are among my favorite hymns which the Lord uses to touch my heart so deeply. Elvis Presley, in my younger years, was my favorite actor - and hymn singer. How Great Thou Art! God is Great and God is Good! Have spent the last 15 days in Childrens hospital with my 17 year old son that had premonia and suffering from Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy! But How Great thou Art that God allowing us to bring him home today and not a better song can describe how we feel! Great job to Carrie and Vince for a song that is so special to my heart!

First of all,The song itself is how we all feel that are his.Second, how could you go wrong with 2 kids from OKLAHOMA? Seriously, The first part before Vince Gills solo, I thought this could be boring. But,as always is the case when God is glorified,the anointing will come as it did here and I felt it when it happened. As talented as Carrie is, Gods annointing the second part put it over the top. You see, God when glorified,can and will do whatever it takes to make his children "feel" good. Wow.

My Aunt sent me this video months ago and I still get chills everytime I llisten to these two wonderful artists. I saved this video to my files just so when I need some inspiration or a friend needs some, I show them this video. These two did an awesome job.

Saw her sing this the night she was honored, along with several others, as one of the great female country singers. I recorded it on the DVR and have watched it countless times since. God gave her that voice and she is not afraid to show the love and thankfulness she has for Him, especially in an industry that sometimes does not even acknowledge God. Though country music does acknowledge more than other genre. She and Vince did an amazing job on this song and I hope it goes down as one of the all time great duets. Can NOT watch it without crying and lifting my own hands in praise to HIM!

I have always wanted to have the kind of voice and power of voice that I could sing praises unto my Savior &amp; Redeemer, my God and my King...but alas that gift was not given unto me in mortality. So I will proclaim Him in every way I can and honor Him with dignity. How I do admire someone who uses that God given gift to praise Him. And when they use it for the benefit of others, it is an even greater gift. Carrie did well here and it was wonderful to hear her sing one of my favorite songs.
