The Brave Boat Rescue of 9/11

On that terrible September 11, 2001, heroes came by foot, taxi, fire truck — and boat. “Boatlift,” a powerful documentary narrated by Tom Hanks, tells the perhaps lesser known but no less epic story of how brave volunteers saw a need and organized themselves to evacuate half a million people from Lower Manhattan the day the towers fell.

The film,  produced and directed by Eddie Rosenstein, Eyepop Productions, Inc. , premiered at the 9/11 Tenth Anniversary Summit: Remembrance/Renewal/Resilience in Washington, which kicked off a national movement to foster community and national resilience in the face of future crises. God's goodness are reflected on these unsong heroes of our times. God must have heard the cries of these helpless people. We are blessed we still have heroes willing to share thier life rescuing people. Hope this tragedy will not happen again.

Thank you for this Inspirational video from God's Fruits ! The Brave Boat Rescue of 9/11 video creates awareness that God Loves &amp; Mercy is always there but we are blinded by the negative forces of selfishness and greed and lust. I was taken back when many boats came to rescue...as I didn't know Manhattan are surrounded by water ? Praise God for people like Tom Hanks &amp; Eddie Rosentiens and others of unsung heroes and heroine to shares this great video with the rest of the world. So often we see news items and TV programmes that seem to promote the worst aspects of humanity (gossip and supposed reality) so this item, was a lovely confirmation that good does still exist in this world. Man does still obey the basic commandment to love one another. I cried tears of sadness and joy at the same time watching this report. God Bless all those saviours. Pam

Praise God for all those wonderful human beings who responded to the call to bring their boats for the rescue!! To watch this amazing video was like seeing 9/11 all over again-total DISBELIEF that such a horrific event really took place... My thoughts and heartfelt prayers to all who lost their lives and their family's left to mourn and all those who responded automatically. God created us to LOVE and show LOVE, and wow did people ever step up to the plate on 9/11... THANK YOU for sharing this touching and heartwarming testimony. Kathleen

To all the rescuers on the boats, my most heartfelt thanks to each of you for helping so many people. God will surely bless you, I wanted so much to be there, but I was in Pennsylvania taking care of four children and couldn't leave my State. The best thing I could offer were prayers for all the victims. I admire each of you, and I cried as I watched this video...to me it was if it was happening again today. On the internet last year I met a man that lost both of his daughters in each of the twin towers that fateful day. Four months later he lost his wife. He lost everything, his home, his car, everything all his cherished possessions, but not as cherished as loosing his entire family. I had him move in with me as I was bed-ridden, and still am to a point. I'm having two knee replacements in December. He left last year once I was able to get around a bit, and not knowing that I had gotten hit by a truck about a month after he left. We still keep in touch via e-mail, but today as I tried writing to him, letting him know that my thoughts and prayers were with him today especially, somehow the e-mail never went through. To all the heroe's of that day, my thanks and the thanks not only comes from me, but I'm certain from the people that you saved. God bless you one and all. God will surely have a special place in heaven for you, and remember you will always be blessed by Our Heavenly Father for the good that you do to strangers. With deepest gratitude Lola
